How we started
Méa Via began when Lisa, a mother, started making soaps at home for her family, who struggled with sensitive skin. What began as a personal pursuit to find a solution for one's daily personal care routine, grew into a deeper interest, one that led her to study organic skincare formulation, haircare formulation, essential oils and its aromatherapeutic properties. Taking classes and courses, Lisa earned a diploma from Formula Botanica and certificates from the Tisserand Institute, becoming a certified natural skincare formulator.
Her daughter, Nina, who saw firsthand how her mother's formulations helped her own skin and hair during her growing years as she faced eczema and acne dermatitis, joined her, turning Méa Via into a mother and daughter company. And now, a small growing team of women, making the very cleansing bars and shampoo bars you find here!
Now
From making soaps in their home kitchen, to a small home industry today, Méa Via's production follows BPOM Good Manufacturing Practices (SPA CPKB) standards, making gentle formulations built around plant-based ingredients. Méa Via makes effective personal care products that are suitable for sensitive skin and are currently in the process of getting Indonesia's Halal certification.
